An Overview Of The HP LaserJet 1320 Printer And Toner
65
The functional HP LaserJet 1320 printer is among one of the higher
rated printers in the 1300 series, and it certainly delivers on its
promises. It is a monochrome laser jet printer using LaserJet 1320 cartridges
that delivers excellent performance across all standard criteria and it
is extremely versatile, as well. It can run on most Windows and Mac
operating systems and it also comes at a decent price, especially when
one considers the capabilities it delivers.
Print speed with this HP printer comes in at a very nice 22 pages in a
minute. Outside observers say it normally will chug along at about 17.5
pages in a minute, which is still a very nice rate when one considers
what the printer will go for. From the time it's been tasked with the
job until the time it can put out the first page is only 8 seconds,
which is exceptional for a machine intended for a very small workgroup
or office.
This HP printer toners
is also a fairly compact machine and looks to have been designed to fit
easily on a desktop area, although it can be set off in its own area to
act as a network printer if that's what will be required. Networking
capability is an option, though, and doesn't come standard with the
regular 1320, which is made in standard configuration to connect to a
single PC or Mac.
Probably the single most notable keyword for this HP printer is
"versatility." It does deliver wireless capability with the addition of
a certain option, though the regular 1320 is made to be connected to a
PC or Mac or a network through a parallel port or a USB port, both of
which this device comes equipped with. If going for the wireless
version, one will be getting a very nice 802.11g-standard unit. Prices
will be slightly higher though.
For those looking for a high-quality print product, this HP printer
will certainly meet their expectations. It delivers 1,200 x 1,200 dots
per inch print resolution, meaning the sharpness and clarity of the
produced product will be excellent across the board. It loses none of
its quality either, as font size shrinks, though at the very smallest
(two or three-point) there might be a little blurriness, but there will
be no running together.
It's a bit surprising that a machine in this price range and which is
intended for the kinds of duties HP obviously meant for it to carry out
would have two-sided print capability, but the LaserJet 1320 indeed
features it. It's also quiet while it does so, which isn't always the
case for printers in this segment equipped with duplex functionality.
This HP printer has a number of different font sizes that a user can
take advantage of, as well.
Memory comes in at 16 MB that can be upgraded to 44 MB, though it's
usually not the case that it'll require an upgrade. The 1320 can
operate using many different Mac or Windows operating systems, as well.
There's an optional networking capability that can be included in an
upgraded model for a price, so keep that in mind.
The HP LaserJet 1320 printer can hold up to 500 sheets of paper, and
prints out on most media stock. It can be found for as little as $150,
though new units often run around $400. With various options, it can
act as a standalone network printer and it is a fairly durable machine,
having a 10,000 page monthly duty cycle backing it up. There is a great
deal to like about the 1320, it has to be said.
Small one page print jobs to ones with hundreds of pages will benefit from HP 1320 toners. Specifically because it seems that costly reprints just don't happen with HP printer toner cartridges. Better ink toner cartridges means a better product and that's what you get all around with Hewlett-Packard.
